The Sky Moves Sideways - Phase Infinity

"We lost the skyline, we stepped right off the map Drifted into blank space, Let the clocks relapse"

The lyrics of "The sky moves sideways” by Porcupine Tree rang clearly in my ears today morning. It was the perfect BGM for my early morning dip in the infinity pool at Marina Bay Sands.

For once in my life, I woke up half an hour before my alarm went off, and felt fresher than an original metaphor. Even the daunting combination of an ice-cold pool and powerful gusts of wind seemed trifling as I walked into the shimmering waters.

I glided along the pool, watching the moon twirl in and out of sight amidst the marching clouds. To my left lay a slightly diminished Singapore skyline missing its premium member, which I was currently a part of. The sound of my teeth chattering made me feel like a chopper cutting through the morning sky. It was a spine-chillingly awesome experience.

I shall be talking in superlatives all day. I’m believe I'm qualified to.

For, at the stroke of 6 a.m. on March the 13th, I was a lone singularity in the infinity.

  1. Teeth chattering like the sound of a chopper? Lol!
Yes, anybody is entitled to talk in superlatives after taking a dip at MBS! It's a brilliant feeling! :)
