Dots in the sky

On the sandy shores of Ubin we rested,

And gazed upwards at the heavenly sky.

The patterns that lay above arrested,

The attention of our inner eye.

The sight of King Jupiter's majestic visage,

Earl Vega and Sir Altair in the east.

Funnily, kneeling before the mighty clouds

At the mercy of their shield.

The moon seemed to stand oddly still

As we observed her crinkled face

The Belt of Orion gradually emerged as we,

Stared forever into the foggy haze

We came to gaze at Comet Hartley,

Instead, all we caught were stars.

Meanwhile our conversation drifted

To the certainty of life on Mars.

  6. This is much better off without the Chacha Chowdhary ending! Don't ruin the nice poetry :)
